Island Oysters

Island Oysters is an oyster catering service and pop up oyster bar for private parties and functions, weddings and shows. We also have a food booth at many of Toronto's favourite farmers' markets such as Dufferin Grove, Sorauren Park and Trinity Bellwoods.

We focus on serving fresh Canadian oysters and we follow zero-waste business practices. We specialize in providing a nautical themed oyster bar experience. We provide guided oyster tastings and shucking lessons with our oyster bar service.

Our oyster bar is curated with ocean-themed decor pieces to give you and your guests a genuine maritime experience. I am the owner, operator, event planner and Chef-de-Cuisine that will assist you from your first phone call to your last oyster! Originally from Atlantic Canada, I have also studied and researched oyster cultivation, history and service. We also provide oyster tasting and shucking lessons with our catering.

When possible, all our oyster shells are placed into local compost and community garden programs and we use biodegradable and reusable cutlery.

Trust an experienced and knowledgeable oyster shucker to make your next event unique with proper selection, procurement, storage, shucking, presentation and condiment pairing. We also provide oyster bar/raw bar service, training and consultation for your restaurant, event, seafood bar or fundraiser.

We can select and procure the oysters for you or just show and shuck. We have East Coast roots with a passion for seafood, the ocean, sustainability and good times! A young and engaging team with focus on bringing oysters to a diversity of audiences. Oysters were a staple for early Canadians and should still be an accessible delicacy.
